I'm on fire tonight...beating everyone with the updates. :D
Thanks BBDE for the quick updates. If the Bobcats get some offense going and stop the penalties it could get real surprising for Cameron.
Go Bobcats!! D20 needs a rep to go on!!

It's not gonna happen against Cameron. I say Cameron will pull away in the 2nd half.

way to go cameron. I was hoping we would beat yall so we could play Robinson. My little cousin plays football for robinson. I would have loved for hutto to beat up on the rockets. But, yall can do that for us. Represent 193a. Hope to meet yall again in the playoffs. good luck, safe travels

Congrats to the Bobcats, Coach Sargent and staff for a huge turn around in the Hempstead football program. For a team that won 1 game last year and not many the past few years this is a start to a rebuilding program.
Congrats to the Yeomen and good luck against Robinson.

Sargent and most of his staff are from Jasper.

Wasn't that bad of a game but I think we should have added an exclamation point on the score. Two passes were easy touchdowns, 1 to Derrick another to Ryan and they were wide open, but took off running before the ball was secured. 14 points down the drain there. That one long touchdown that Hempstead got was blown coverage on our part but ah well, that's the game I guess. What was the deal w/ the Hempstead player that got ejected???
Coach Sargent and 2 or 3 of his assistants came from Jasper. Hempstead has always had athletes and needed the right person to get attitudes in order. Hempstead was fortunate to find a person that had learned how to run a good program and install it at Hempstead. The kids know what to expect from Sargent every day and have responded well to the discipline. Discipline, desire and dedication, they hear it every day and have a great example in front of them every day. Will be interesting to see how much Hempstead can improve after Sargent and staff go through an off season with the players. Look for great things from the Bobcats. Sargent will also head up the track program. With the speed those kids have they should do well.

Adding to what you said about Coach Sargent. Coach Sargent came in telling the kids we were not going to talk about it, we are going to be about it. Since he's been here our kids walk different, talk different and of course they act different. This man has been a GOD send. The athletes have responded by playing their hearts out for him. You ask kids what they think about coach Sargent, the majority of them repond by simply saying,"we love the man". Allowing kids to know that you care about them goes a long way. Last night we didn't lose, time just ran out on us. Go Bobcats!

i've seen a better reason, when sam houston went up and played texas tech earlier this year, on one of the sam punts, a gunner went down and straight up laid the returner out before he even caught the ball...he told coach, i didnt even see him raise his hand for fair catch, coach turned around and said, my god, he's got to catch the dang ball first!....oh, it was hilarious, all the fans were booing him because of it, then when the ref said he was ejected, it was an uproar like you wouldnt believe.....not to mention with the score being 42-0 at halftime, the fans were already shaking their keys saying "start up the bus, we're goin home early"........what a trip

In this game Evans was a prime time player. Just read in the paper he had 117 yards recieving, 2 interceptions, 3 extra points, a touchdown, and 3 field goals including one from 46 yards. Damn what a game he really stepped it up I guess you could say.
