Rice intercepted, they are on the Hutto 22, its 3rd and 12. Incomplete throw, now its 4th and 12, They try a field goal and its good for a 39yrd attempt into the wind.

Just got back from the game. First and foremost our thoughts and prayers are with the Rice lineman #56 Fields. Who looked like had a compound fracture of his right leg. Play was stopped for at least 30-45 minutes. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Please any Rice fans, keep us updated on his condition. Ok,on to the game. It was a tale of 2 halves. Rice controlled most of the 1st half. Hutto committed 3 turnovers in the 1st half to Rice's 1 TO. Both defenses played VERY tough and hard. Hutto fumbled on Rice's 5 yard line I believe on their 2nd possession. Rice mounted a very impressive 95 yard time consuming drive to score first 6-0 with about 9 mins till half. Xtra point was blocked. Hutto came right back with a 75 yard drive to score before half. 2nd half Rice took the lead back on their 1st possession of the 2nd half to make it 13-6. Hutto came back and mounted a 65 yard drive to tie the score once again @ 13-13. Rice then committed 3 turnovers via the pass to Hutto's 1 TO. Rice took advantage of Hutto's lone fumble in the 2nd half to kick a FG to go up 16-13 in the 4th. It stayed that way until about 5 minutes left in the game. Rice stopped Hutto on a 4th and 8 from Rice's 25 yard line. On the very next play Hutto got their 2nd interception of the night. It was returned to the Rice 11 but a block in the back penalty brought it all the back to the Rice 40. Several plays later,Hutto scores to take the lead 20-16 with about 3:50 left. On Rice's very next offensive play Hutto intercepts their 3rd pass of the game with about 3 minutes to play. A couple of 1st downs later the game was over. I can't say enough on how hard and tough Rice was to beat. They came out fired up and ready. I think Hutto had a letdown or hangover from last weeks tough loss to Cameron. Not to take anything away from Rice, they wanted it badly too. Rice has a bright future ahead. Their 6'6" Sophomore QB was just picking apart Hutto's zone defense at times minus the 3 interceptions. Their 6'4" Freshman WR has some good hands and talent to go with it. He did drop a few balls too. I hope this game was a wake up call for the Hippos, because mental mistakes like this against a VERY GOOD Marlin team will get them bounced out of the playoffs QUICKLY!!! Good luck to Rice next year, they are gonna be one of my picks to make a deep run in the playoffs!! Go Hippos!!! Beat Marlin!!!

Thanks for the well wishes for Trent(#56). We'll keep you posted on how he is. He is a great player and person.
Congrats, to Hutto on the win, mistakes at crucial moments cost the Raiders the game in the end. We are very proud of the way our team has played this season, considering most people didn't even have us making the playoffs. The Raiders will have great seasons in the future, but most likely as a 2A school.
The Raider's played their hearts out all season, and we couldn't have asked more of them. Hold your heads up high and have no regrets, because you are all winners in our eyes!!!

Congrats go out to the Hippos on winning the game. You played a great game and took advantage or mistakes like a good team does. Good luck and go get a bulldog next week.

The young Raiders played a great game and were one or two plays from winning. Hold your heads up high it was a great season and you keep the playoff streak going for next year at 6 in a row. You did yourselves proud all year long. Next year looks very bright and hope to get to play some teams with enrollments simular to ours.

Our Prayers go out to Trent for a speedy recovery and hope the signed football will help.

Thanks Raiders for the great season and the memories.
