Off the x's and o's for a minute.

I thought Monahans had lost a coin flip when I heard they had to go all the way up to Plainview to play Perryton in the second round. Then I mapped it and found it's halfway!

All of these cities are closer to Perryton than Monahans is:
Tulsa, OK
Topeka, KS
Joplin, Missouri
Denver, Colorado
North Platte, Nebraska

I believe if I remember right the halfway distance from Bridge City, Texas to California is El Paso, Texas........that's some serious turf.

longest drive for a team this year was Middland lee played PAM in Port Author for a round trip of 10 hours each way cant remember how far it was i wanna say 600 miles one way

Cuero played Sealy the night before that game last year.. we were at a stop-and-rob getting drinks before the game and there was a truck with a trailer getting gas and it was the Midland Band trailer.. we were trying to figure out what the heck a Midland Band trailer was in Sealy for - then we saw where they played PA the next day .... now that is a long drive........

If so, then that was just plain DUMB...shame on them for spending all that money on gas !! Simply amazing to me, this goes on! ::rolleyes:
