GREENVILLE – Justin Drabble hit Kyle Clayton for a 25-yard touhdown pass in double overtime to lift Mount Vernon over Wills Point in a Class 3A Division II Bi-District game.
Drabble, who had a 25-yard touchdown run in the first overtime, passed for 279 yards with four touchdown passes while rushing for 128, including an 83-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter that gave Mount Vernon a 27-15 lead with 6:38 left in the game.
Donnie Steil scored Wills Point's overtime touchdown in the first extra period on a 1-yard quarterback sneak. Steil passed for 259 yards, with a touchdown pass.
Wills Point's Chris Booker totaled 322 yards of offense, rushing for 178 with three touchdown runs and 144 yards receiving.
