During the half and again after the game, coaches and ball boys looked for two teeth Derek Evans lost during a vicious hit in the first half. Evans missed only 3 plays before returning to the game. The teeth were found after the game, but could not be saved.

That has got to suck. :( I hope they weren't his front teeth!! ;) :D Hope he can get dental work done. Would the school pay for that? :thinking:

yeah.....i was on the sidelines when derek came off, it wasnt a pretty site...two on the bottom right side he went back in three plays later because cameron was on defense right after it happened, we had enough time to get him stopped up with gause for the time being

And Derek was probably the player of the game for Cameron. Showed tremendous toughness noone thought he had. I think he was just mad because they knocked his teeth out. Go Yoe.

they help with other things too like passing out water and looking for teeth...

I remember when I was in 6th grade, in snyder, one of my sister's friends on the team had that happen. Can't say they had a crew on the field looking for the teeth, but he lost his front 4.

I had to do that during a little league game when shortstop was turning double play and hit the runner in the mouth...he dropped like a wet wash rag...blood everywhere...finally found tooth and police took it to hospital ...don't really remember the outcome...pretty freaky accident...
