The number I've heard for Jasper is 819. But don't hold me to it.

My mom talked to one of the ladies in the attendance office and they said that now we're down to 804 or 805. But I think on the deadline we were at 819.

It is interesting down in 24-3A -- Bridge City dropped from 764 to 761; a little less than 0.9 %. Most had anticipated that RITA has displaced more folks that had to seek employment out of town.
It appears that the WOCISD benefited by the influx of KITRINA evacuees into the District. WO-S only dropped from 884 to 806 which is a big surprise that they only dropped 9.1 % this year. Therefore, WO-S will be the Division I rep. again next year.

There were a lot of abandoned buildings and abandoned residential homes in that area that are now being occupied by ex-Katrina evacuees! That is great! Some of the buildings have been retrofitted for residential use by Orange County volunteer help.

According to the Abilene Distorter (Reporter) News, Wylie turned in 916 if you believe everything you read.

So like I said...it's still between 910-920. The admin just puts out a few feelers to see what kind of response that number is drawing and then adjusts their strategy accordingly. Any idea what Cooper and AHigh turned in?

and ask anybody how solid the regular season polls are? Many years you will see and top 3 go down in the 1st round or 2...and that holds true in every classifcation, especially 3A and up!
