Wow Newtons D has mannaged to come up with another amazing shutout by beating bc 21-0
Newtons D should now be known as the Wreckshop Family after 3 straight games without a single point allowed i think they deserve tha name and as for Newtons O keep up the good work they say it take a D to win a game but u cant win a game without an o to put pts on tha board.

You can give them any name you want. What they have accomplished so far is more then impressive! If they shutout Jasper, well if that happens we will think of a special name for them.

When does Newton play Jasper?
I wish I could attend that game.

I played for the Gidding team last year that beat Newton, and if Newton's D is half as good as it was last year, they will go a long way.

What could you tell about the speed of both teams? How fast does Newton defense look? How about B.C. lines.

Newton was in OVERDRIVE!
Bridge City was in (at best) 2nd gear.

Bridge City does not come close to Newton's speed. I was impressed! Bridge City will have a hard time beating any team with total team speed like Newton displayed last night. Newton will only have problems if they meet up with a team with more size and with the same speed & quickness.

Fortunately there are precious few teams with Newton's overall speed for us to run into! Newton's only achilles heel may be their lack of depth. They definately had enough depth last night. Congratulations and good luck to the Eagles.

Congratulations to the Eagles. I was at the game. Their only achilles hill is not just depth. They have a great defensive line but, their secondary can be picked apart by a team with a good passing attack (Jasper). Bridge City's receivers were open all night but, their receiver just could not catch the ball.
