Crazy. Ingleside's been in more playoff games than any of the other teams.

Alright, our 19-9-1 record definitely falls short of this.

Post these schools when you get a chance. Both have long playoff histories & both have won titles. Thanks.

WOW!

Just posted the Sweeny-Cuero histories

Combined, the two schools have played a total of 147 playoff games and won a combined 100 exactly....

Cuero is 11-1 all-time in State Quarterfinal games
10-1 all-time in State Semifinal games... (with Sealy giving them both losses... ) and then seems to get stuck only going 3-7 in Championship games

Cuero's tied with Wichita Falls for 2nd most State Finals Appearances at 10, just one behind Permian...

Thanks WOS for posting! I was able to relive my childhood by remembering Sinton's playoff games in the 60's !

Where did you find this info?

Thanks for some great information. What site (UIL??) are you using? Very impressive for lots of schools. Always fun to look back a little. I still say the '83 Daingerfield team that pummeled runner-up Sweeny in Waco is the best I have ever seen. Any class, any time including Dallas Carter. Just my opinion. They had like 5 future NFL guys on that squad (Everett twins, Whitmore, etc.) & many other college guys. Sweeny had a good team with NFLer Tracy Simien & other quality players, but it was not even a game. Thanks again.

Wow, Hondo has been there 43 times, but no championships. That is extremely impressive to have been there 43 times though

this is a cool thread, hopefully West Columbia can make their playoff record better with a string of wins this year!

GO NECKS!!

Good luck to the Necks this week. I hope to see the big 2nd round game if both take care of business as expected. Is Flannel healthy for y'all? He is a difference maker.

Region IV Histories have been completed (including Port Isabel) and re-arranged for Playoff Week 2. The scores and win-loss records have not yet been updated to include games from Playoff Week 1.
