SLPYBEAR just got back from a trip down south...

...where he traveled from Bridgeport to Jacksboro on 380, then down 281 through Mineral Wells, Stephenville, Hico, Hamilton, Evant, Lampasas, Burnet, Marble Falls, Johnson City, Blanco, then SA. From SA, we went east and made the pilgramage to Shiner... (and bought a case of '96 in the woodend crate!!!!) We moved around a bit, seeing Gonzales, Shiner, Haletsville, Yoakum, Cuero, Nixon, and a whole lot of other places.

I enjoyed traveling through some of the towns that you guys are from... Especially east of SA... that was my first time there.

PS - That is a Huge Rec center in Burnet... did someone donate?

Also, is the Air museum worth a visit?

Believe it or not... I am a sucker for Luciano's on the river walk.... AWESOME ITALIAN...

But besides the touristy stuff, I need to know about good TEX MEX in teh SA area...
