my local school, the Potomac Falls (VA) Panthers, kept their playoff hopes alive with a 33-26 OT win over Leesburg Heritage. PF is now 4-5, 3-1 in AA Dulles District play.

Apparantly, you can win your district here and not automatically qualify for the playoffs. the state is divided into 4 regions, and those regions into districts. the districts have names (Battlefield, Colonial, Peninsula, Patriot, Western Valley, Eastern Shore, Bull Run, etc.), not numbers (i like that). there is some type ratings system used statewide and its the top rated teams that make the playoffs or something like that.
