Don't know if Needville will be the Dist 25 rep here. Seems there was some late breaking news on Friday about a Stafford player being ineligible which could change this. This would result in a forfeit to Wharton, which might put Wharton in....

Have to wait on the UIL ruling on this...

Don't put any faith in rumors. The official UIL site has Needville vs. Halletsville.

After looking at Region I, DII it looks to me as if Sweetwater or the Snyder/Monahans winner will be the team to make it out of Region I.
Breckenridge and Bridgeport look to be heading for a rematch of week 1.
Iowa Park should make it two games deep. The Hawks have a tougher first round opponent (Pilot Point) than that second round matchup, which would be the winner of Little Elm and Whitney.

They are not rumors, Wharton coaches were notified of this by phone and it is only a matter of the UIL making a final ruling and no, they sure wouldn't change anything on their website until there was something definitive. It should be known by tomorrow.

I hope that you are correct in your assesment VWG. I'd really like to see the Big Red Machine from Sweetwater in round 3. Not because I think we have a GOOD chance of winning but because of all the great posters that I would be able to meet and greet with. Watching a Kent Jackson coached football team is always a treat in itself.

the ineligible player at Stafford did not play against Wharton. Stafford will forfeit against Needville and Sweeny, but not Wharton
