I think this is deserving because Plano used to be such a power and then they all of a sudden started to suck for several years. Now it seems they are back. They had an undefeated season. Way to go Plano Wildcats!
Plano - 26 Flower Mound - 22
FLOWER MOUND – Plano tailback Justin Jordan saved his team’s perfect regular season, bursting for a 37-yard touchdown run with 1:38 left in the game to cap a dramatic rally over Flower Mound at Jaguar Stadium.
Plano, trying for a 10-0 regular season, trailed 22-14 with 7:07 left in the game. But Plano cut Flower Mound’s lead to 22-20 on Jordan’s 34-yard touchdown run with 4:39 left in the game. Flower Mound linebacker Chris Avery stopped Plano quarterback Mark Sfikas on an option run for a two-point conversion to keep Flower Mound in the lead.
Plano then stopped Flower Mound on its next possession, forcing a punt with 2:33 left. Starting at the Plano 34, Sfikas ran for two yards and then completed a 27-yard pass to Greg Rideaux for a first down to set up Jordan’s second touchdown run in the final minutes.
Flower Mound drove to the Plano 17 in the final seconds, but Nick Stephens desperation pass on fourth-and-17 fell well short of his receiver.
