Region 1 strong teams will not have the same level of competition throughout the playoff as other regions particularly in Division 2

u make a good point..but it can be flawed...look at Texas...their schedule is nowhere near that of VT's...but does that automatically make VT a better team? Sweetwater, Wylie, and Snyder cant help it if all of region one is by avg. weaker than other regions....i mean.,.....think of basketball....canyon girls, 90% of the teams they play wouldnt "do good" against other regions, but yet Canyon Girls basketball is one of nthe top in the nation....

i am stuck deciding on merkel, wf hirschi, and snyder...cuz snyder was the preseason favorite in Scurry County...so it's a tough call!

I think it will come down to...two very lucky teams!!! One will walk away with medals a while the other goes home with a burger and fries!!

I would say the winner of the Barbers Hill vs WO-S Division I and also the winner of the Jasper vs Bridge City second round game--Division II.

These four teams have as good a chance as any at this point in time.

I really believe that Rice Consolidated can win State, but they will have to keep their heads on straight. Right now, they are flying under the radar at 9-0 overall and 4-0 in district. If they beat Bellville Friday night, they have as much of a chance to wn State as anyone else.

The game with bellville will tell all, and if Rice does in fact beat Bellville, they would gain my utmost respect with playoffs coming around!
