Doe anyone know if Sinton gonna have the same 5 team district or if Taft/ George West moving back ?

It all depends on the numbers everyone just turned in. There is a possibility that Odem could move back up. They are building new houses over here like crazy.

Plus, there's no way to know what the UIL's numbers will be for the cutoffs.

Dunno, but if those teams were to move up with the possibility of Hallettsville dropping down to 2A, Goliad would maybe move back up to our district...

For sure if Odem moves back to our district the Owls surely be one to watch for to knock Sinton off the top spot along with Aransas Pass, Ingleside. Odem has success in Class 2A . They will still fight for a playoff spot come next season.

I agree....I would like to see Odem back in our district and yes, they are doing well.

Goliad is great and has been highly competitive in all sports....but no matter how you slice it...they are still a 1 1/2 hour drive. I guess some of the towns in other areas of Texas are used to this type of travel during district play, but my preference it to keep it a bit closer to home. I know, call me "spoiled" :D

As for Taft it'll be a miracle if they move back. A friend of mine had told me that alot of students are going to Sinton or Portland. Alot of parents aren't happy the school district is run there. That got me to thinking maybe that's why the moved to Class 2A their numbers had went down. I told her that my sister lives in Taft she wanted to transfer my niece to Sinton. Because we have a good sports program here.But she decided to keep her in Taft

I really hope that Odem comes back. Ever since the dropped to 2A, they have talked a lot of trash about Sinton. While Sinton considers Taft their biggest local rivalry, Odem has always had their eyes on Sinton. Most of family is in Odem, and I really miss those long arguements of ours.
