New Sign Erected on Wallisville Road
LIBERTY, November 1, 2005 – A few weeks ago a crew of 3 or 4 men and some equipment showed up at the intersection on FM 563 (Wallisville Road) and Briar Drive in Liberty to put up a new pole with a stop sign and street sign on the top. They were replacing the existing pole and sign.

The first day they came they dug a big hole for the pole. Some days latter concrete was placed in the hole and still some days latter the crew returned to erect the new pole and signs.
All of these trips involving so many workers and equipment must have made this the most expensive street sign ever erected. With the cost of all that labor, materials and equipment signs do cost money these days

However, after all this expense, I noticed something interesting about the street sign. Briar Drive had been spelled “Brier Drive” on the street sign.
After all this work and effort the street had been misidentified on the new sign.
