So I guess Silsbee rebounded from the tough start?

Yes.....lost first 3, but made a QB change and have won all 4 district games. Play old time rival Jasper this Friday for district championship....should be a good one!!

They do not run the wing-t. They run the veer out of a split backfield with a 2 wideout, 1 tightend set or no tightend with 3 wideout set. It is the old University of Houston veer when Bill Yoeman was coaching there. Silsbee's head coach, Bobby McGallion was Yoeman's qb for 4 years at U of H. It was either 1974 or 75, that McGallion and Yoeman made the cover of Dave Cambell's Texas Football magazine, for anyone's information.

the tigers defense has really stepped it up a knotch the shut down that cotton kid from kirbyville, that kid looks like the real deal,he is very good football player and they shut him down, so it realy depends on what silsbee team shows up,i think they will suprise a few people, this team has alot of heart, rocky # 28 runs the ball like a wild man, great kid!!!!!!

I really like the team from Silsbee but I think Palestine now has the edge. A great back made a transfer from Palestine Westwood to Palestine HS this season and that premium back transfer tipped the scales to make a complete team for Palestine.
Silsbee looks good-to-go next year but I don't think they are competitive this season against teams like Palestine..

i seen that video on the downlow of that back for palastine is it #23 that you are talking about? if it is he does look for real, butttttttttttt that kid from kirbyville had ran all over everyone but silsbee, like i said it depends on what team shows up, we do have a chance to take this one, i think last year we were caught by suprise, this year i think we will have a better game plan!!!!

The reason Palestine's offense is so good is because, they have a great running game with three great backs and 3 awsome receivers, Plus we got our starting QB back from injuries. I'm predicting any score, but it should be a great game.

I don't know if those two replies were to Palestine, but Palestine won't play jasper, they play Silsbee

If Silsbee continues to play great defense like they have the last 4 weeks, and like I think they will against a good Jasper team, things might be pretty interesting against PHS next week in Lufkin! A good defensive can carry you a long way in the play-offs!
