Not a huge NASCAR fan, but for anybody who has not seen one these events, you cannot imagine the scale and the logistics. TMS is only about 40 miles or so from Bridgeport and traffic next weekend will be snarled up for 50 miles around the Metroplex, especially I35. How anybody can put on an event of this size twice a year is beyond me. Simply amazing.

NASCAR is another reason that North Texas is the most well-rounded sports area in the country.

Been there---done that. Went the first year TMS opened. My nephew had a motorhome parked up against the infield fence in the 3rd turn. You could literally reach out and touch those cars as they went by at 200mph. Sat on the roof in a folding chair and had the time of my life. So incredibly loud that I had to wear earplugs.
