The Gilmer Buckeyes just completed their 5th straight undefeated district championship in a row Friday night. Congratulations guys. They are off this week and getting ready for the playoffs.

That is a great thing, congrats on a nice streak...

If Cuero can take care of business and no one can beat us, maybe we'll see each other in December...

Gilmer vs. Cuero

That would be a sight to behold. That is a matchup of two 3A powerhouses! I think our Buckeyes are a little too young to get all the way back to state, but we will find out how much I know in the next 7 weeks.
I can't personally see anyone in the region beating the Bux, but I think the magnitude of a state semi or state final game could possibly get to some of our kids. JMHO
The scary thing about this team is that this team is the "weakest" team Gilmer will have in the next five years. We're graduating three starters from a team which went 9-1 in the regular season and is poised to make another deep playoff run. Folks around here are understandably excited about the Buckeyes.
