I just got back from the game and Bellville gets a B for this effort
will need to kick it up a notch to beat Rice.

Bellville's defense limited Hempstead to 6 first downs, only 83 yards rushing and 62 yards passing. Bellville's offense moved the ball on the ground (279 yards), but still struggled in the passing game (2-12-1 for 54 yards). Bellville was also called for 7 penalties. Like BrahmaDAD70 said, Bellville will need to kick it up a notch to beat Rice.

Way to go Bellville, the Brahma D did a good job holding Hempstead tonight, and the running game looked ok, if Bellville can get the passing game back on track Bellville will be alright vs Rice!

Hempstead shot itself in the foot a lot with turnovers and a few serious mental mistakes. Bellville clearly the better team on the field last night, though not the dominant Bellville team or recent years past. Must improve passing game.

Highlight of the game: An absolutely electrifying pass reception/run by Hempstead's Terrance Tolliver. He probably ran 200 yards, weaving and breaking tackles and went for a 70 yard touchdown. It was called back because of a penalty, but WOW what a magnificent effort!

Seen both teams. Bellville will win this one. They are just to good for Rice.
Overall: Bellville has the better defense. Kicking game goes to Bville . Offense a toss up Rice makes way to many mistakes to win in this one.

Bellville 27 Rice 6.

Might just go check this one out. Will be good early.

Rice will play loser and Hempstead will play the winner between Cameron Yoe and Hutto. Both of these teams are very very good. Good luck to the Yoemen and the Hippos.
