Can't wait til this season is over. I'm doing another one in 2006. In this new one will the Sinton Pirates stay on top :thinking: or will another team will knock em out of the spot

What i did was that i got all the teams in Class 3A who advanced into the playoffs every year since 2000 and they have to be in Class 3A all those years. And don't matter how good or how far they advanced in the playoffs I just combined their season records from 2000-2004 to determine the number one team

basically Keith, from 2000-2004 Sinton had the best combined record of any team in 3a.... 2000-2003 was Everman

Yep I remember Sinton was cursed in being knocked off in the area round 86-87, Then knocked off in Bi-District '85 by Cuero

Could've been the year Davenport took the Pirates to their first State Semifinals? I remember they played them in '90 after they knocked off Cuero

nevermind i found it...they missed the playoffs in 2000 going 7-3 and in 2001 going 5-5. That is why they aren't listed

It was in '90, but seems to me that was the regional semifinal. Sinton beat Port Isabel on turf at McAllen 21-7. I believe Cuero was the regional final at TM that year which Sinton won 34-7. The next game was the semis against Crockett at DR stadium on the UT campus which Sinton lost on a last second missed field goal attempt..

Kennedale is in a similar situation, went 7-3 in 2000 and missed the playoffs on a tie-breaker. Their record for 2000-2004, though, is 48-11. That doesn't include this years record of 7-1 so far.

Sinton played Odem in bi-district, Cuero in area, PI in regional final that year. Damn I got a good memory!!:D

May have 46-12, But Decatur didn't make the playoffs in 2000, 2001. All the teams listed have been to the playoffs since 2000 in Class 3A. It's not a love/hate thing

BTW, McAllen doesn't have turf it still grass. 1990 was when PI had the 3 amigos, and PI lost it's QB to grades :mad: , then had the gall to sit in the stands and critize his back ups mistakes, who was totally not prepared. Since, you have a good memory Sinton75, when was the last time Sinton and PI played each other was it in '95 or '96?

Memory ain't that good when I had some brew. As a matter of fact Sinton played someone in between Odem and Cuero in '90 can't remember that either.
