View Full Version : WO-S at Orangefield (Homecoming)

The Stangs will likely be without their top RB and WR on Saturday for their game against Orangefield, which is OF's homecoming. With the loss of a lineman for the season last week, I hope this doesn't cause problems for our offense. Thoughts?

RB Thomas will not play but LD is supposed to. Most of our starters will play at least the first half.

What is wrong with Earl Thomas and how long will LD be out? I don't think you will miss those guys to much unless they are still out once the playoffs start. You guys have other athletes that will fill in nicely. As for OF, Shoemaker has not played the last two games and I'm not sure if he will this week. We will miss him in the secondary if he can not play. Our offense showed some spark last week and hopefully that will carry over to Saturday. I know our boys will be ready to play especially since it's homecoming. Should be fun. Get there early!

Thomas has a hurt ankle from the Hamshire Fannett game. Those big ole country boys were very physical and surprisingly fairly quick. We had 3 or 4 people get hurt that game. Plus it was the 3rd game in 8 days which is brutal!!

It will be interesting to see how Depauldrick Garrett does starting in the backfield. He has REALLY been impressive since coming up from JV in relief of Thomas.

Garrett has been great, and he's got an exciting future ahead of him. His running style reminds me a lot of how Adrian Steen used to run -- he just makes these great moves and just seems to have a knack of making big runs.

I THINK the original homecoming was cancelled due to Rita and this was the only remaining home game.

Why?.......that's silly. They got beat in the end, but at one time it was what 14 to 6. OF is a very prideful school.
