Soccer Hosts Baylor Friday Night with Chance at Big 12 Title

A&M (12-3-2, 6-2-1 Big 12) can with a win give the program its first back-to-back regular-season titles in school history. A victory would also seal the No. 1 seed in next week's Big 12 Tournament in San Antonio.

and they are hot

Maybe they're winning because of the 3rd "girl" from the left, A.J.?

No, no---Nothing to do with race for cryin' out loud---Gender! Gender, man! That picture is either a mistake, or that player is very masculine in appearance.

It is true that the Lady Aggies can cinch at least a tie for the Big 12 with a win over Baylor which they should do because Baylor is in next to last place in the Big 12. However Nebraskas can share the title with them because Nebraska has the advantage of having two games left to play to the Aggies one game. If Nebraska beats Iowa State on Friday and then Texas Tech on Sunday it will tie the Lady Aggies for the crown. Nebraska should beat Texas Tech because they haven't won a game in the conference this year but Iowa State may give them a good game. So they could be co-champions but if so the Lady Aggies get the top seed in the tournament because they defeated Nebraska during the regular season. I expect the Lady Aggies will be playing next Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. against the No. 8 seed which we won't know for sure until after Friday.

Last year the Lady Aggies were co-champions with Kansas for the Big 12 Championship and Kansas actually had the first seed because of it's win over the Lady Aggies during the season. The Lady Aggies won the Big 12 Tournament though and were the conference's highest seed last year in the playoffs. Ironically even though the Lady Aggies beat the Lady Longhorns in the tournament and regular season it was the Lady Horns that got the farthest in the playoffs reaching the final eight while the Lady Aggies got to the final 16. So you never can tell what will happen in soccer.
