Surgery sidelines Shipley
Redshirt freshman wide receiver Jordan Shipley of Burnet underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair cartilage in his left knee Monday. The surgery was called a success, but no timetable was set for his return.
Shipley missed the 2004 season after undergoing surgery on his left knee. He has missed 2005 with hamstring problems.
"The knee's been bothering me and I haven't been able to straighten my leg out all the way," Shipley said in a statement. "If I can't straighten it out, then I can't walk, run or jump right so there's really nothing I can do to get better. It's the root of all the problems.
