On the rise: No. 14 Plano East continued its climb after beating Lewisville 44-15. Plano East is averaging more than 31 points against District 8-5A opponents and will be fighting for a playoff spot the next two weeks against Plano and Allen.

Pretty funny to see Prosper and Argyle on this list. A couple of 2A schools that are good, but haven't beaten anyone of note. Sports writers kill me - LOL! :D

I sometimes think that in this list especially, they throw in some representative 2A schools so they have some 'others', even when there are clearly some additional 3A schools in the area that are better.

Case in point: take Lake Worth and Dallas Roosevelt.

Prosper only lost to Celina 27-21. Yes, they didnt beat them, but that is pretty dang close.

Kennedale is putting up some good numbers.
They're flying under the radar right now. Will that be Decatur's first round game in the playoffs?

No, Kennedale is in 10-3A, they'll get the D1 team from district 9, probably Bonham at this point unless Royse City picks up their game.
