So i went on fall break with my girlfriend to Austin...i Have a question about a town i went through. How is Liberty Hill a 3A school with a population of less than 2000? Do they take in from towns smaller than they are? or is it just they have a lot of kids there? Oh and Burnet was cool!:D

you can't judge by the size of the principal town - the school district usually goes way beyond the city limits ... at least in most towns/ISDs

The town may not be that big, but there are a LOT of people who live outside the city limits. I know when we first moved here, the school district was 100 sq miles, and I presume it still is. And of course, we are still a middle-size 3A school. :)

LH used to be a 1A or 2A school about 20 or so yrs ago. They used to play Thorndale and schools like that. LH P Mom is right there are a lot of kids that live outside the city limits. They are a very good 3A school and if they we're a 2A school they would be a dynasty..........

I know in some places the Fairfield school district goes out at least 20-25 miles. I am sure it is the same way there

Chambers has three schools
AAA
Mont Belvieu Barbers Hill (West Chambers)
Anahuac (Central Chambers)
AA
Winnie East Chambers (East Chambers)

only Anahuac is larger than 2,500 people in the city limit
Mont Belvieu, Beach City, Old River-Winfree, and Cove all go to BH making it a large AAA.

That'is how Greenwoods district is.

We have kids that live closer to Midland, Stanton and Garden City who are all in the Greenwood school district.

I've mentioned it a few times, but La Vernia had more students in their high school than they did the city limits at one time... I think their enrollment was somewhere about 649 with a population of 605 or something like that...
