Radio not looking too good so far. The first pick was a great play by the Tech defender but the 2nd one was Vince making a bad read. Glad to see Howard Payne transfer Nazzirudin (sp) try and run it out for Tech though. Either way...Tech 7 Texas 3. Horns Up Guns Down!!! :D

LOL...yeah if BYU stays within 21 of ND it will be a miracle. Tech/Texas is 10-10 with 10 left in the 2nd quarter.

Looking even worse now at 31-10 before half. Texas dodged a huge bullet when Texas Tech was on the Texas 4 yard line and got it intercepted.

I love to hear people talk about refs costing a team a game. Techs inferior talent and worthless defense is what is killing them.

The only thing killing Tech is Special Teams. UT returns a punt down to the 10. Then Tech has a punt blocked. You can't make those kind of mistakes against a good team like UT.

okay first of all there were some queionable calls...it happens every game am i saying that it cost tech the game no....second of all techs offense did move the ball on your steller ut defense and had like four chances inside the 20 or 30 and couldnt put it in....thats what makes them a good team instead of a great one....also in my opinion vince young did not impress me, he overthrew many receivers and some bad throws he makes his receivers make great plays....dont get me wrong he is one of the best players in college football and i hope he wins the heisman......the one thing that gets me about ut is that its easy to like them when they are on top, i hate seeing all of these die hard ut fans that started liking them several years ago when they started winning, and i know i know everyone says they liked texas since they were like 2, and about tech's schedule they had louisville and fresno state on the schedule and they both backed out so they were left scrambling to find games, i believe it was tech that went to ohio state first when they won the national championship and played ole miss and nc state when they were both in the top 15, so get off the weak schedule thing.......WITH THAT SAID GOOD LUCK HORNS AND BRING HOME THE HEISMAN VINCE

And while I thank you for your well wishes, you basically call UT's defense "not that great" and call Vince Young "not a good QB" then in the end tell us good luck and for VY to bring home the Heisman??? What kind of post is this?

You moved the ball on our D because that is how Leach's Nintendo offense works. Tech moved the ball like that against UT last year in Lubbock and the end result was the same--a blowout. So while your offense is moving, that doesn't mean the best team is gaining yardage/momentum.

Don't even say "there were questionable calls" because UT had those same questionable calls as well.

To say VY didn't impress you tells me you a.) haven't been watching college football the last two years and b.) didn't even watch this game.

And finally, you say that people only like Texas because they are winning. I'm really sick and tired of Aggies and others saying this. I know plenty--PLENTY--of people who never set foot on the campus of Texas Tech or Texas A&M and yet the support the ever living bejesus out of those schools. Is that bad as well?

lobo12

i just meant that he didnt impress me that much in the game which he didnt, he overthrew many receivers but he is a good player, the running game is what killed tech, also look at the field position ut got, special teams also killed the raiders....theres always questionable calls thats the way it goes, would it have made an outcome in the game no...and no i dont think ut's defense is that great......this is just my opinion i was stating what i believe to be true and i want him to win because he is a texas player...and finally you know what im talking about with everybody being a ut fan...how many were fans ten years ago, or when texas wasnt that great, all of a sudden everyone in texas is a ut fan.........finally ut won they deserved it and were the better team, i do not think that tech was overrated, maybe shouldnt have been 7 in the bcs but they are a ligit top fifteen team

Texas Tech's offense of course did move the ball, but of course that's all you can expect when your whole program is focused on TOTAL YARDS and not TOTAL TD's as it was apparent last Saturday. And as for the Heisman race I am a Texas fan and will be attending there next fall, I still think Reggie Bush is better than Vince RIGHT NOW. I hate to say this but I hope Reggie Bush wins this year, just so Vince will have incentive to stay at Texas one more year and not go to the pros early.

i did give them credit i said they are the better team and deserved to blow tech out, but i think the game was closer than the score showed, and tech is still winning we just lost one game to the number two team in the nation, we lost to a team we were supposed to lose to so how does that make them overrated

KTJ
10-24-2005, 12:43 PM
I'm still trying to figure out how you keep saying UT's defense isn't that great.

We held you to 17 points. How is that not great? Tech averages 763 points a game almost, and we hold you to 17 and that isn't great?

If you're basing your "UT's D isn't that great" on the fact that Tech kept moving the ball then you definitely aren't the smartest. Tech kept moving the ball because THAT IS WHAT YOUR OFFENSE IS DESINGED TO DO. Tech could move the ball like that on USC, Ohio State or anyone else because that is how the offense is molded. No Defense is going to completely shut down Leach's Nintendo offense. Not even a pro team.

So I guess for you to give credit to our D, we would have had to allow negative yardage for Tech???

And no, the game wasn't really closer than the score said it was. Tech kept hustling and to that I give them credit. But other than the first quarter, the game wasn't even that close. Everyone has said this...even my Tech friends.

I was at the game, it was over at halftime. I sat in the upperdeck and some of the passes you say VY over threw were passes that had to go over a DB. I know of two that the receiver did not time his jump. VY is not perfect but I'll bet there is not a OC in the country that would not him.Horns now #1 in the BCS.
