A good kicker can be priceless in high school football, yet they are overlooked most of the time. Our kicker had 7 touchbacks last night, to go along with 3 field goals of 45, 47, and 49. Against the wind, no joke. Those kind of points are invaluable come playoff time. And its also nice to not give your opponent a chance to get the ball out past the 20 every time.

Forney (aka F00rney :) ) had a durn good kicker in 2000. That fellow could put it out of the end zone in Texas Stadium with no wind on the kickoffs. Wonderin' if he got a scholarship to some college?

I can't remember how our kicker is on FG's, mainly because I don't think we've attempted one this year. Ledesma is 43/43 PAT's (I believe that is before last night's game). Burns, our kick-off kicker, has the ability to completely confuse a return team with the type of kick he will have. Both these guys deserve a lot of credit.

The kicker from Odessa High is awesome. I went to the game in Andrews at the beginning of the year and the kid kicked a 52 yarder during the game. Also, every kickoff he had at least went into the endzone, with 2 going out of the endzone in the air.

I think your kicker would be good at soccer! :D

Wimberly has a good kicker, saw them play Devine.

And Sweeny has a good kicker(Carder, Jr.) kicked a 35 yard FG that went over the track. Kicks off 5-7 yards deep in the end zone consistently.

The Iowa Park kicker is ok. Nothing to write home about. Decent leg, not real accurate in my opinion. Misses too much to be a big school prospect. Needs to learn the true importance of counting steps and how to produce an extremely reliable approach to the ball. That alone would remedy a lot of misses.

The kicker from Navasota, Fernando Espinoza, is pretty good! He made the semifinals this past summer at the Lone Star Kicking Challenge. He is only a junior and is a heck of a kicker. He has also taken on the punting duties since all state punter Mark Kaspar graduated. He has been the varsity kicker since he was a freshman. Great kid!
