Bourquin, former Graham coach now at 4A Mineral Wells, clinched a playoff berth last night with their win over Cleburne. Think they won like 48-14.
They are now 7-1 or 6-1 with their only loss to 5A Weatherford in double OT.
Seems like that split-veer is working in Mineral Wells like it did in Graham.

He's also finally figured out how to implement the pass game with the veer, thus, making it DRASTICALLY more effective than it ever was here. Don't get me wrong, we could just run teams into submission, but you can only take that so far into the playoffs. I read I think it was 2 weeks ago in the Ft. Worth paper that their QB has close to or more than 1000 yards passing along w/ a pair of receivers that have like 600 and 300 a piece or something along those lines. I don't know if a QB here in Graham during his tenure here ever had those types of numbers. Mineral Wells has always had talent, just not the coaching to apply to it and bring it about. Good job Rams and keep the up the winning. Heck of a first year for new offense.
