Watch out, most folks I've talked to that have seen both OG and WO say WO is much better.

zapata's new qb can get the job done...him and his connection to back up qb sanchez are a very powerful wepon...but man can that new qb take a hit...he loves to call his own number..and run for a good 10 yards or so

yeah but he also made many critical mistakes that should have led to a OG win. He missed SEVERAL wide open recievers, tried to hard to make a play and forced it too much. He needs to stop playing QB, defense, KR, and PR. The kid is bound to get tired and is more likely to make careless mistakes.

If it were not for OG's horrible special teams play Zapata should've lost. The last play of the game was a repeat of this years USC v. Notre Dame classic. That's how close this was.

Let's not forget that in this game the ref made what could be called the absolute worst call in the history of high school officiating! One of our defenders intercepted a pass a mere 5 yards away from the referee and he had the audacity to blow the whistle dead while our defender was about to walk into the endzone UNTOUCHED! It was such a bad call that they ended up giving the Hawks the ball at the point of interception. Once again Zapata is treated to horrible officiating that always seems to favor the opposition.

The Hawks played an underachieving game.

The offense needs to get their act together or something, West Oso is going to put a clinic on them if they don't get it together.

Ramirez is a nice player, but he needs to stop being Superman. He needs to stop calling his own number and use his receivers.

Zapata doesn't have the short passing game from last year, where they knew they could get a 5-10 yard pass to Sure Hands for an emergency first down.

Instead, Zapata is incredibly predictable. Run, Run, Run, throw hail mary. Rince and repeat.

Sorry, if the Hawk offense doesn't get their act together, it's going to be a long night at Hawk Stadium.

To be honest, OG deserved to win. They played their hearts out trying to compete against the Hawks. It just happens that we have a much better defense.

However, that offense of ours...has major issues they need to work out before West Oso, 32-3A D1 playoof school, and the Sinton Pirates.

i agree the offense needs to get those kinks out and show some variety...but the defense won the game with the punt block by albert morales that gave the hawks the field position they needed to win...i also agree that it seems that bad refs tend to follow the hawks...
