Wow, what a week. AP loses to Goliad, giving 30-3A four one-win teams. AP beat Ingleside, who beat Mathis, who was supposed to be the second-best team in the district but is now in last place. AP then turns around and loses to Goliad, whose only two previous wins came against 2A squads.
Confusing?
Like a Chinese finger trap.
1. Sinton (beat Mathis) 3-0/8-0
2. Ingleside (bye) 1-1/4-3... 1.5 Games back
2. Goliad (beat AP) 1-1/3-4... 1.5 GB
4. Aransas Pass (lost to Goliad) 1-2/3-5... 2 GB
5. Mathis (lost to Sinton) 0-2/4-3... 2.5 GB
Next week:
Mathis @ Goliad, 7:30 Fri
Ingleside @ Sinton, 7:30 Fri
So Sinton's last game is against IHS and Mathis' next game is against Goliad. If Ingleside and Goliad lose (both very possible)there will be a three-way tie for second. IF Ingleside wins and Goliad pulls it off, we have a three-way tie for first.
Either way, it looks like someone could be sandwiched inbetween an Ingleside/Goliad three-way. Kinky.
