Why Kennedale won: The Wildcats (7-1, 2-0 in 10-3A) relied on their rushing attack and solid defense to wear down Ferris (3-4, 0-1). Kennedale built a 31-0 lead at the half on the strength of two touchdown runs apiece from Lance Canter and Mickey Norris. Canter gained 108 of Kennedale's 203 rushing yards in the half and scored on runs of 1 and 18 yards. Kennedale's defense held Ferris to one first down and 28 yards of total offense in the half.

Kennedale clinched a playoff berth with the victory and will be the Division I representative from 10-3A

Rashard Jones had a fumble recovery for the Wildcats.

Chez Thomas and Bradlee Grant had interceptions for Kennedale.
