CAMERON – The third-ranked Cameron Yoemen catapulted back from a 20-0 deficit to stun the Giddings Buffaloes, 21-20, in a battle of District 19-3A leaders.

Cameron (8-0, 5-0) still trailed 20-7 entering the fourth quarter, but then reserve quarterback Cordick Mobley hooked up with all-state wideout Derek Evans on a 71-yard scoring toss.

With 4:06 left, that pair connected again, this time from nine yards out. Evans also added the PAT to give the Yoemen all the lead they'd need, as the defense held firm. Charles Foster (sicem74)led that defensive charge with 14 tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery.

Evans had seven grabs for 133 yards and the two TDs.

The Buffaloes (7-1, 4-1) stampeded their way to 271 rushing yards in the losing effort, including 119 yards from Brock Fitzhenry and another 101 from Devane Jarmon.
