Phil you made a bad night worse the other night with your doubt. I am glad you have come to your senses and changed your mind about our fine Texas team from Houston.

Huper the pretty thing also is that by winning tonight instead of a game 7 we have a couple of days rest to help minimize somewhat Chicago's advantage of their long rest.

On Pardon the Interuption today Mike wanted the Cardinals to win to have a game 7 for the excitement but I think he really wanted it so that Chicago would have more advantage of rest time! It didn't happen!! :)

I've been out tonight enjoying the revelry of the Astros' first ever NL pennant, and the first thing I see when I turn on ESPN is "fair weather" Harold Reynolds and that "fat piece of crap" John Kruk predicting a White Sox runaway in the World Series. Well, those so called "experts" said the Astros would never be here...even as recently as yesterday. We haven't listened to you before....why start now? Sorry Fat Boys...this is the Astros year!!! H-Town in 5!

Never thought I would see it in my life time!!! Astros have made the WORLD SERIES!! I have been an Astro fan for a long time( for their entire existance in the league) and have fulfilled a life long dream to finally see them play on the big stage. Can remember when I would cheer for the team and wish for a .500 record on the season and would think that was an accomplishment. Had so many close calls, but could never get over the hump. Congratulations Houston Astros and enjoy every minute of it FANS!! Might as well win a few games and see what happens. Maybe the next wild card WORLD CHAMPION!!

Way to go Houston Astros. Vivid memories of my 1st game at the old Colt stadium when the Colt 45's (what a cool name) played the Phillies. Bob Aspromonte, Al Spangler, Nellie Fox to name a few of the players. 1st game at the dome against Pittsburg. and some of the players were Doug Radar and Jimmy Wynn. Also remember listening on the radio to the no-hitter by Don Wilson on Fathers day, and to the no-hitter lost by Ken Johnson.
Been a long haul. Congratulations.

I will say this much about last nights game, I have gained a new respect for the town of St. louis and its fans. After the astros made the final out and were celebrating they were curtious and clapped and i didnt hear one boo from anywhere but the deal that got me was when the st. louis fans started chanting LETS GO ASTROS at the very end, that is one classy town and its a shame st. louis has to go home they have a great baseball team its to bad that they couldnt just meet up in the world series too. CONGRATS ASTROS

you have to think that the off time for the bullpen of the sox puts them in the questionable category, i mean they haven't seen work in like a week and a half.....

and yes i know they are coming off a few days off, but the astros will be coming off of two...and that's good enough

My thoughts exactly. Beltran should have stayed with the killer B's. But then again, $100 million and some change.........

 For Love or Money??

A "standing room only" ticket on ebay went for 2000.00

and yes the decimal is in the right spot.

Did anyone see the espn replays of Roy O's fastball pitches. They replayed some crucial pitches against Eckstein, Edmonds, and Pujolsthat didnt seem that crucial during the game. Roy O is the real deal. If the series makes it to game 7 and he pitches(I think he is lined up to pitch game 3 and 7) my money is on the Stros.

Wow! Last night's win erases those bad visions of Pujol's home run. In a way, it makes winning the series a little sweeter. Astros having to come back after being punched in the stomach on Monday. I went to Academy last night and it was very crazy. Astros fans cheering while standing in a long line to buy NL Championship shirts and caps. Nobdy cared that the line moved very slow, actually standing in line was the best part of the night. What's a few hours? Astros fans have been waiting 44 years for this very night! :)

Let's not forget the World Series, Astros still have a job to finish.
Go "Stros!! We bee...lieve!!

Astros offered him a huge chunk or change. He wanted the limelight on NY City..that's fine..we got Pace Picante sauce and the Houston Astros in the World Series :)
