I wonder how many towns with multiple Highschools have a 3A Highschool among them. Offhand, I can think of a couple:

Abilene- (Cooper, High, and 3A- Wylie)
Midland- (Lee, High, and 3-A Greenwood)

Also, have any of the 3A "little brothers" ever played any of their "big brothers" anytime in their histories?

Wichita Falls Hirschi is 3A and plays both Old High and Rider each season, albeit both are 4A schools which is not as big a difference as Midland and Abilene which are 5A

Dang, I'm embarrassed, GM---forgot all about Wichita Falls, and they are right here in my "backyard".

Frenship is not part of Lubbock ISD, in case you didn't know. ;)

Well Greenwood is seperate...Canyon is seperate...Wylie is seperate... I thought you were asking about towns that have 3A schools alongside 5A schools. Fresnship is obviously not in Lubbock ISD as it is technically in a different city.

Yea, I was asking about multiple schools in the same ISD, Adidas. Sorry for the confusion.

How well do the fans of these other intra-city schools support each other when 1 gets in the playoffs and the others don't?

Cleveland and Tarkington are not the same town. We aren't part of Cleveland and hopefully never will be. Half of our residents have Cleveland addresses while the other half have Dayton ones.

How about Longview
Longview High 5A
Spring Hill 3A

Greenwood is also not affiliated with Midland in any way at all.

We are also our own ISD.....as a matter of fact, I feel like we are treated as a "step child" from the "Midlanders."

Around here, when we are up....we are "Midland Greenwood"....if we are down, we are just "Greenwood"!

I refuse to call us us Midland Greenwood, no matter HOW the team is doing!

San Antonio also has a couple of 2A schools. Shaq's alma mater (SA Cole) is a 2A and so is the Gervin Academy. If I'm not mistaken, Houston has a couple too.

Cooper is not part of Lubbock ISD. It is an independent district.

It's the same way with Wylie as well. Now in recent years people out here have become more accepting of (Abilene) Wylie because of all of the recognition the district has received because of various acheivments so it is a lost cause to try and argue it with bigger media outlets. You argue...they will just go elsewhere!

Orange has WO-S (3A) and Little Cypress-Mauriceville (4A). I'm not sure if any Orangefield (3A) students live in Orange proper.

Thanks for that info, RM---I stand corrected in my first post in this thread. You're right ---the term "Midland-Greenwood" made me think Greenwood was part of Midland ISD.
