Well, it used to be Burnet, but they outgrew us. ;) The D1/D2 determination is based on 2004 realignment figures:

Bandera, 877
Brady, 409
Ingram, 522

DCTF shows Seminole's enrollment at 634 and Monahans at 629.

no your attendance would have to be low for months. Thus, you can't really make the claim that a school "tells a kid to stay home" because staying home for 2 or 3 months really wouldn't work cuz then he would be held back a year...

haha, Adidas, you guys been sayin' "whatever it takes." :D How else could a 3a school take two 4a drop-downs into it's district, and then come out as the D1 rep? :thinking: If it was smaller than the other 2 schools, how come one of them is not the D1 rep? :D :D :D

What point are you making here? You are making an observation that Snyder and Sweetwater dropped down from 4A into 3A. Yes they did...no question there. At least offer SOME kind of logic to explain whatever point you are trying to make here...if there is one!

Adidas, the "point" is to poke a little FUN about a long-standing contention from other schools in YOUR district (not mine,) don't gitcher feathers all ruffled over nothin'.

The "contention" as I have read it: If Snyder and Swater were in 4a, then they should have had a larger enrollment than 3a Wylie; correct?? Then how is it that in the 1st year of the new alignment, WYLIE is the D1 rep? Did they miraculously discover another 100 or so students in the off-season, after they were safely classified 3a for this alignment period?

Be careful Adidas! Don't force me to bring this to the UIL's attention! You guys don't want to follow in the footsteps of Forney!! :hairpunk: It's CRUEL up there in 4a!

Ever notice that Wylie didnt grow that much (778 to 820 from 1998 to 2003) but that Sweetwater and Snyder dropped off...A LOT! That is how we are bigger. We have more students. What is so hard to put together about that? It's common knowledge that you can get from DCTF or the UIL site to name a few. Wylie doesnt have to do anything for people to NOT want to live in Sweetwater or Snyder. Long and short...more people have moved away from those two towns than have moved in. That explains why their enrollment #'s go down...when more people move into a town than move away...the #'s go up? Does that make sense?
