This was a day of some close games besides USC beating Notre Dame Alabama beat Mississippi by kicking a field goal on the last play and Michigan who lost to Texas in the Rose Bowl on the last place won on the last play against Penn State 27 to 25. They had one play inside the Penn State 10 with one second left and threw a td pass to win the game.
