One way or the other, since it loks like Gonzales will make the playoffs, Cuero will more than likely get Wimberley or Liberty Hill in the 2nd round. Bandera should make the playoffs sending Liberty Hill and Wimberley to div II out of district 27-3A. I can't wait!:)

I thought this would happen. So much for a Wylie vs Cuero repeat. Would've been a great matchup. No big deal though, now we get to look forward to the possibility of a Sweetwater vs Cuero Title game. The Downlow would be EXTREMELY well represented at that game. One hell of a meet and greet should begin around Monday prior to a game like that just so that there would be the outside possibility of each of the thousands Cuero posters meeting each and every one of the thousands of Sweetwater posters. They better have a very large stadium just to seat all of the Downlow crowd. :D

West Columbia 2-0 (beat staff and whart)
Wharton is 1-1 (beat need lost to WC)
Needville is 1-1 (lost to Whart beat Sweeny)
Sweeny is 1-1 (beat pala lost to need)
Stafford is 1-1 (lost to WC beat pala)
Palacios is 0-2 (lost to swee and staff)

as for "What place will they finish in district?" well, as you can see there are 4 teams fighting for 2 spots, (assuming WC wins one more)

WC is the biggest school in the district and will go D1 if they make it.

Not according to Jerry. Wharton would face Halletsville in the first round. The "proposed" schedule doesn't have Wharton and Cuero playing again.

Well, the way things look at this point,

Cuero would get Needville in the 1st round.
Halletsville would get Wharton 1st round.

The "Cuero-Wharton Rematch" would not take place until round 3.

Jerrys bracket has Wharton losing to Wimberly in round 2.
I have seen both Wimberly and Wharton play. I think Wharton beats Wimberly (even without Ansley) to set up the rematch.

Of course, there is still a lot of football to be played, but If it eneded today, this is how I see 25 & 26 matching up.

Yes, you're reading it wrong. :p Look at the "W" and "RU" slots. Cuero & LH are both 1st seed (providing Llano doesn't win +14 over Wimberley...then I don't know) and will go in the "W" slot.
