Wylie uses the no huddle and throws a quick 5 yard out that is jumped by the Merkel DB and run back for a Touchdown.

Merkel then runs a swinging gate and gets the 2 pt conversion.

Merkel tries to onside the kick but Wylie recovers.

Wylie intercepts a pass and returns it down to the Merkel 15 yard line...should be end of the half but there is a flag on the play against Merkel! Unsportsmanlike conduct but it will be placed on the 2nd half kickoff.

One stat I caught is Keenum has thrown for 197 yards and 2TD's. He has also run for about 60 yards and 2 more TD's. His interception is his 2nd of the season.

nah we had a 30-minute halftime. It is just now ending. On a side note, Sandifer's daughter Dakota was named Homecoming Queen. Kind of ironic since he has been caught saying "nobody remembers who wins homecoming but everybody remembers the game!" in previous years. :rolleyes:

Heh...I heard that earlier when I was listening to the game. The play by play guy had a great joke after that. He said "The only thing worse than a chauvenistic man is a woman who wont do what she is told."

Sounds like a huge night for the Sandefers.

Yeah this is a typical quote from our color commentator. He always has one or two a game and then you hear the play-by-play guy say "yeah I'm not even going to respond to that one."

Merkel fakes the punt inside their own 20...however they fumble the next play. The first play Keenum throws a fade route into the corner of the endzone and a Merkel guy comes down with the ball.

Wylie gets ball around midfield...Edwards with about a 15 yard run and takes a helmet to the ball and fumbles it forward about 10 more yards but Wylie's center was down there to recover the ball. Nice to see an OL guy 25 yards down there still involved in a play. Edwards is down for Wylie...official timeout.

Gary Edwards carried off the field by the trainers but the announcers don't sound like they are too worried. Likely just shaken up from getting hit high and low and bent in 2 pieces.

Wylie is down around the Merkel 20 right now...this 100 yard drive is gonna be nice for the stat book. Wylie is just running the ball pretty much every play though. The 3rd and 4th options are in at running back but Case is still under center.

k so I can't get anything right. The starters were pulled half way through this drive. Down to about 6 minutes or so...Wylie down around the Merkel 10.

Wylie scores from a few yards out with about 3 minutes left...I am gonna go play PS2 or something...final should likely be Wylie 45 Merkel 8. Sure is nice to see Wylie drive 100 yards minus maybe a few inches and use up about 9 minutes of the clock. Also nice to know that Wylie is 6 for 6 on XP's and 1 of 1 on FG's after the debacle that took place last week with snap problems.
