2A Newton gets kicked out of their #1 rating for not practicing in Rita aftermath

I saw in the paper that the Newton Eagles were downgraded by the Polls because of conditions beyond their control(hurricane). I know that the're goal was to be #1 all the way through the 2A State Championship.

I saw that too....Newton dropped but WOS didn't. HMMM, oh well, Newton will roll in post season regardless.

Just curious, how would you know what their team goals are?

yes the circumstances are beyond their control, but if they are not playing (for whatever reason) i dont see a problem with other deserving teams jumping ahead of them ..... besides, who gives a crap about the polls

The polls are pointless because not one will pick the state champion for the state.
Newton is a fine ball club that was excellent in 3A before dropping into 2A.
They will be a force whether they are ranked no. one or not.
