Just got home this morning.

Spent the weekend up in Lexington, so got to drive around the likes of Caldwell, Cameron, Giddings, Rockdale, Hempstead, and all the other towns on hwy 290. Spent 23, yes 23, hours driving up there Wednesday night/Thursday, it was the most awful car ride I have ever had. And all those people making a two lane highway into four by driving on the shoulders didn't help things at all. It was very nice up there though, did a lot of fishing. Didn't catch anything though. :( Good to be home though, glad to report that Deer Park did not suffer that much damage, had a couple of blown down trees in the apartment complex, but no structural damage. Now I get to spend the rest of the day putting everything back together in the apartment.

so yeah, on my exiting of corpus, their were people using the shoulder to pass cars, well after the hurricane evacuation
