View Full Version : Big UT game in OK tonight and Sunday.

Tonight in Oklahoma the Lady Texas Longhorns have a big game with Oklahoma State who is a good team that has 7 wins and two ties so far this year. UT needs the win but we will see what happens. On Sunday they will have a game with Oklahoma.

Kansas State in the Big 12 is only team in the conference that doesn't have a soccer team. The other 11 teams play each other once each year and the top 8 teams meet in the Big 12 Championship series which will be in San Antonio this year. That means that 3 teams will miss out.

Nah, I don't do soccer Phil, but if I did, I would go watch the Lady Raiders. I'm a Tech fan...:)

Chris you have a great opportunity on October 9 (Sunday) at 1 P.M. in Austin to see the Texas Tech Lady Red Raiders play Texas in soccer. Last year in Lubbock UT won a good game played there. Kelly Wilson Schmedes is a volunteer assistant coach and she is a UT ex that was great at UT and plays on the National Team. Also the head coach Neil McGuire was a former UT assistant coach. You may want to consider making that game since it is so close to you.

Bad news for UT soccer fans as Oklahoma State wins 2 to 0. The Ladies need to turn it around and beat Oklahoma Sunday or they will start conference play at 0 - 2. GO LADY HORNS! You can do it!

UT had many chances to score in this game but the brilliant play of OSU's freshman goalkeeper Bettina Grossman from Germany kept them scoreless while junior Jesyca Rosholt was able to score two goals in the first half and it stood up for OSU. To beat OSU you must keep them scoreless and get a score of your own. If it comes down to penalty kicks you are in trouble with that goalie they have.

Tomorrow (Sunday) the Lady Horns face another stiff test by having to play Oklahoma in Oklahoma. Oklahoma has an 8 - 1 record and are always very tough especially when the game is in Oklahoma. Last year UT won in Austin 1 to 0 and two years ago in OK the Lady Sooners beat UT 2 to 1. Let's hope the UT ladies can win this important road match which will be most difficult.
