As I have come to know many of you on the Downlow, I know that you are some of the most devoted and caring Texas High School football fans around. For those of you who have had to flee Rita's path, I would like for you all to know that from all of us who are fortunate enough not to have to deal with this situation---you and your families will be with us in "spirit" as we attend our home team's games tonight. I know that it is especially hard for the players and their parents, coaching staffs, and school district administrators to deal with this very disruptive situation. I wish you all a safe return and speedy recovery from this terrible, disruptive event and hope your lives return to "normal" quickly and that your communities sustain no loss of life or serious property damage. Hope to hear from all of you in your rightfull places in the "stands" very soon---God Bless You All.
