Does anybody know anything about Falfurrias? They just beat Hondo, but they aren't that good. We play them next and i'm just looking for a bit of information.

I can tell you a little bit about them. They have one State Championship a few years back. They beat a fairly decent Mathis (our runnerup) team 2 straight to advance. We played them early (like Apr.11) and beat them 9-3 with our #5 pitcher on the mound. I'd say you shouldn't take them lightly, they didn't get to this round on their looks. Beyond that, you might find some archive stories on them at www.caller.com (http://www.caller.com)
(Corpus Christi newspaper website) and maybe not, don't know for sure.

You hit it on the head ya ya. We have like 4 players hiting close to .500, one over .600, three players with 6 homers, two more with 3 and a couple more with one. We do alot of things well in the offensive and defensive categories. I hope we can meet Sinton in the regional finals. I think it would be one hell of a series

You know, earlier this year, I thought we had a good chance to do that also, unfortunately for us, the football part didn't quite pan out. Guess what, it didn't pan out that way last year either, but that didn't stop us from winning the baseball title. I'm not a prophet, so we'll just have to wait and see this year. wink

I heard Falfurrias is going after Cody Fields. They think they can beat him up pretty good.

I've been watching Bandera all year long and they are for real! A great hitting team with two of the top pitchers in the SA area. They had the lowest(or top 3) team ERA of all San Antonio area schools...
They have a bunch of great hitters with power.

Falfurias is no slouch. They probably play some of the most sound fundamental baseball in the south. They will force other teams to make mistakes by putting extreme pressure on the defense. Many good teams suddenly make alot of mistakes against Fal. They have two nice pitchers and some others who are not bad.

Whoever wins the first game should take the series. It will be a good series...

That was just a wicked rumour QB2, word on the streets is that they are going to teach him how to curve the brim of a baseball hat....
