I have not hurricane info, but rather info on any displaced folks needing a place to stay. It's my understanding that Leander ISD is converting all their gymns into shelters.

Also, the company I work for, is in the process of getting together places to stay and taking names for those in need of a place. :)

Rita is expected to hit Sea Rim State Park just south of Jefferson and Orange Counties. Th storm at present track will totally wipe out Orange and Bridge City. There will be a surge that will also go all the way up to the third floor of the OC courthouse and well north of Interstate 10. I will have updates much sooner than Radio and TV due to a family member. I will keep posting updates as I get them. I live in Lafayette and already have wind and some light rain bands.

Well thats a funny story. We are STUCK. We are waiting for my wifes dad to get here from Orange so we can evac. The sad thing is , he's right outside of Lake Charles going 8 miles an hour on I10. So I guess by the time he gets here it will be midnight(even though its about a 45 minute drive) and we will head north.:D
