Absolutely. The ump kept calling the low balls strikes. Isringhausen must love that ump.

Now that you mention it the strike zone seemed to expand downward.

I think both sets of umps had a party to go to. Between the expanding strike zone in the Astros game and that awful third strike call in the ALCS, they seemed to be in a hurry to leave.

clearly the catcher's fault. anything that close should be an automatic tag.

Better than the last game of the last series... The Ump changed strike zones almost every inning... pitchers didn't know where to pitch, hitters didn't know when to take a pitch... it was very strange to see it change that much...

They had chances last night and grounded into double plays etc... wasn't the umps fault on those grounders etc...

Yeah, the Cardinals were "hittin' 'em where they ain't" and the Astros were "hittin' 'em where they were"!

That call against the Angels/for the WhiteSox was fairly amazing (and I really didn't care which team won).

If I was a catcher and the umpire was yelling strike 3 in my ear, I'd probably just tossed it back toward the mound too. You could clearly see how p'od the Angels Coach was, but you gotta feel sorry for the catcher.
