I think this poll is a lot more accurate than the others, but I still have a problem with Sweetwater being in the top 10.

I've been waiting for that to happen. Muleshoe moved in there too! Two more teams from the lower numbers of Region 1 to join Wylie, Sweetwater, Snyder & Canyon

Actually, I was counting teams from Districts 1-4...Abilene and west of Abilene...which I am more familiar with. But that brings up a good question.

How many teams are in this Top 40 from Districts 5-8. Gainesville, Lake Worth,....who else?

i think it remains to be seen who the real powerhouse is out of Region I ....... if in fact one emerges. Last season it was Wylie - this season? we'll just have to wait and see.

last season it was Decatur and Canyon...Wylie just snuck up on them in the playoffs!

so Wylie was indeed the powerhouse of region I !!! they proved it on the field, the only place it matters.

It was about this time last season that Chris, the editor at TexasHSfootball, picked Abilene Wylie as his "darkhorse" team to win not only the Regional Title.....but also the State Championship!

People can moan and groan about his rankings all day...he made a believer out of me last season!:eek:

You must be dillusional for speaking as such. If it can be proven, how/why do you seem to classify Sweetwater as a powerhouse?

are u serious???? sweetwater is more of a powerhouse than snyder ever will be, just look at the record between the two, and by the way, have you not ever heard of INJURIES???? just curious.....:rolleyes:

I'M INTERESTED IN SEEING WHAT HAPPENS THIS WEEK BETWEEN SNYDER AND SWEETWATER. I THINK THEY ARE BOTH GOOD TEAMS THEY BOTH HAVE HAD CLOSE GAMES, SNYDER WITH LUBB COOPER AND GREENWOOD, SWEETWATER WITH LEVELLAND. I ALSO WOULD CHEER ON MORE TEAMS FROM REGION 1.

I dont think that Canyon was/has been on anyones list as a region I powerhouse, as the panhandle is viewed as weak by most. We came out of no where last year and were 11-0, and wylie outplayed us bigtime.
