who runs the best program year after year?

I picked Wylie mainly because I know Sandifer has been there forever and cranks out winners every year. I believe the guy at WOS has been there forever as well and has won titles in 4A. Cuero seems to be able to interchange head coaches and still be able to win on an almost yearly basis. Gainesville has been top notch since the arrival of Cordell. Who really knows who has the best coaching "STAFF".

Dan Hooks has been at Orange Stark for years. He is one of the most well respected coaches in south east texas. I heard he is really tough to work for. I don't know what his turnover rate is.

i don't know anything about the other programs so i will not comment on them. i do know gilmers coaches are the best high school offensive minds that i have ever witnessed.

I know coach hooks has somewhere around a 90% winning percentage. GS#17 can tell us. I know he has well over 200 wins and something around 30 or so losses. Dont quote me on that. I am being aproximate.

PS its WEST Orange Stark. Not Orange Stark! Not being an ass here, its just our pet peeve.

Bellville has a good coaching staff, turned it around about 6 years ago, and have made the play offs ever since even in rebuilding years they go far. I remeber a last year i think it was, there was even rumors that the head coach was going to get the job at Blinn.

I dont know enough about the Cuero staff to have an opinion, but my guess is they are pretty good;)

I agree with Wylie and Sandifer. Best facilities that way, best all around talent, biggest numbers. He was even the head boys basketball coach at one time, talk about versatile!!!!

Bellville and H Chan would top the list. Is Jamie Valentine still in Bellville or did he get a HC job?

I have a very good friend that coaches there, and I do believe that Valentine is still there. Yes, Bellville is very well coached.

As far as turnover rate, his DC and one high offensive assistant have been with him for more than 20 years. That offensive coaches' son is also an assistant now. The only real weakness is predictable offensive playcalling, but that's made up for this year by a very athletic and intuitive QB.

I'll be the first say my vote was a "homer" vote. I went with Coach Sandifer and the Wylie staff. He's been at Wylie for 25 years and most of his staff has been with him for a minimum of 15 years or so. He's built one heck of a program.

i agree, i think Sandifer is one heck of a coach and i would have loved to play for him.

Coach Valentine is still there, always does a great job at defense cord., the red storm, he has a true love for the game, and on the side quite good math teacher too! he was a finalist for the head coaching job at rockdale but he didnt get choosen.
