I will say Cuero and Wylie will match up again this year. In D2 i will say Jasper comes around and makes up for the past against... Whoever makes it there without losing in the previous rounds!

We don't know about Cuero yet. They may go DI or DII? Gonzales is the big school in this Dist. Gonzo beat Luling last week and are playing Yoakum this week in Yoakum. It all depends on Gonzo????

Is Gilmer a true threat to repeat? I heard they have a outstanding coaching staff.

Yes I would say they are a true threat..This team might be more talented overall than last year's team BUT VERY VERY young.

BUT the team out of East Texas everyone needs to keep their eyes on is Atlanta.

I thought Tatum was the highest ranked team in reg 3?

how are the eagles this year?

The Eagles as always are are athletic and fast. I personally am not sold on them yet. I broadcast their game a couple of weeks ago when the beat Gladewater 35-14..It was 14-6 at half GW was winning. Yes Tatum gets kudos for coming back, but GW made alot of mistakes in the second half.

Tatum seems to play to their competition. I want to see them be consistent agianst good teams before I proclaim them the team to beat in Region II

I know that Gilmer has the best offensive coordinator I have ever seen in Matt Turner.

That guy will keep them in every game no matter what the talent level is.

Atlanta is not a surprise..People need to wake up and realize how tough a schedule they play. BTW the year they won state they started off 1-4

Gilmer is definately a possibility...however, don't count out Snyder, we had a taste last year and this year we want the whole thing...(I'm not just saying that cause I live here.)

Ya know, I'm a coloradoan...born and raised. I came to Snyder 3 years ago, and I tell ya, I have never in my life seen a team turn around a become something so fast. I was/am quite amazed. The coaching staff instills discipline, inspiration and courage into these boys. (With most of them it comes natural)

I've seen this in a lot of west Texas schools, especially in 4-3A, however, Snyder is climbing that mountain, and I guarentee they aren't going to fall off until they stake their flag on the top.

who is the best team out of the region 4 area? It looks like Cuero, Bellville, Sinton, Wimberly get the most respect.

You're right, these teams do get and earn a lot of respect. Until we've all had a chance to play, we won't know who the best is.
