(decatur may get a game from bridgeport though).

I'm curious... Does the poll indicate where you think the teams are going to finish, or how strong the teams are at this point in the season?

Even though I'm a WOS fan, I have a hard time realistically thinking WOS is as strong at this point (after missing 3 weeks of football) as to be considered the second best team in the state. I'm also a little skeptical as to how they will be able to catch up to everyone else who has enjoyed playing and practicing over the past few weeks; however, I'm hopeful about their potential -- I do believe they have a great program, some great athletes and super coaches, and can finish the season strong.

Again, I'm just wondering what the poll is judging, not complaining or questioning any reasoning behind the picks. I just tend to think polls (other than predistrict polls) measure where teams are in a certain time, not their overall potential (that's why there's generally a bit of movement from week to week). Yet, rather than lumping this poll in with any other, I figured I'd ask. :)

I think I'll keep using the AP and Harris polls. Probably a little more accurate.

i understand a drop for us but from 3 to 12.....thats a little dramatic don't you think?? questionable calls and overall just bad playing on our part contributed to it but snyder shouldn't be ahead of us...undefeated or not...they play Clyde...come on now!! nothing to brag about...well see when wylie plays snyder....they will be bent over and................

Snyder defeated Sweetwater; it would stand to reason that Snyder being undefeated would be ahead. And I believe Swater will have their game with Clyde as well.

Quit whining 07' Sweetwater is lucky to be ranked at all after not showing up at Levelland and the loss to Wylie.

For once I think Sweetwater's #12 ranking this week is about right.

If Im not mistaken a win is a win and we beat Levelland. So why did that even come up?

It amazes me to see Cuero at the top. They ARE a very good team, yet I wonder how they would do against Cameron, Marlin, Bellville, Sinton....

The only team that has tested them was Wharton. Where is Wharton on your list?

Wharton has the hardest defense to block! 3-3-5 stack! And plus with all that speed and talent that Wharton has makes it even hard! I PROMISE you any of those teams you listed will would struggle with Wharton!

Also, Cuero is 5-0 not 6-0!

Wharton is just a very hard team to guage... they're the most talented team Cuero has played the last couple of years in my opinion......

Last year they hung 55 up on Cuero in a 1 point loss... but in the playoffs against Yoakum they were demolished... and had you seen the Wharton that played Cuero and the Yoakum that played Cuero, you would have never thought Wharton would have lost, much less the way they did... they have just been hard to guage for everyone...

then again, everyone gives Cuero a tough game down here, we're used to that by now...

How does this "great defense" let Cuero put up 56 one year and 29 (or whatever it was) this year. That just sounds like an excuse to me. Sometimes teams can just routinely play against another no matter who they are and I beleive that is the mojo that the Wharton vs. Cuero game brings. Cuero's offense is more than likely head and shoulders above Wharton's defense.
