Many times on paper...they should not win. Even though Sandifer likes trick plays at opportune times during the game....the offense is fairly boring and not paricularly flashy. They like the short passing game but will occasionally air it out. They like the inside running game with little draws etc...coupled with play action passes. They like a little option stuff with Keenum and sprint outs with giving him the run pass option. Nothing to write home about. But what they usually don't do is beat themselves. They have few turnovers and they play a game of good clock and field position management. They have a good solid defense that flows to the football and keeps the big play to a minimum. They may bend but usually don't break. They are extremely well coached and usually have enough depth to rotate and keep people fresh. When you put the offense and defense together you get efficiency. You think that you have the better athletes....but you look up and are trailing by 21 in the 4th quarter...You feel like that if you just had a few more breaks...then you would have beaten them....but that is the beauty of Abilene Wylie....they don't let you have the breaks....that is how they win.
